The Apostle Paul traveled to the city of Athens on his second missionary journey. He found a city wholly given over to idolatry." To be sure they didn't offend any god by not worshipping it, the Athenians had built an altar "To the Unknown God." So Paul taught them about the Almighty God, the One they did not know.
