The feeding of the 5,000 men (plus women and children) is the only miracle Jesus performed that is recorded in all four gospel accounts. The apostles had no food to feed this crowd, but that was no problem for Jesus. This miracle was a sign to all that Jesus is the Son of God! (It is not a story about sharing!)

Piece 1—Jesus and the apostles head across the Sea of Galilee seeking a break from the crowd
Piece 2—The crowd follows Jesus to the other shore. Jesus heals and teaches them.
Piece 3— “Send them away”/ “Go feed them”
Piece 4— The only food the apostles could find was 5 loaves and 2 fish
Piece 5—Jesus blessed the food and the apostles passed it out
Piece 6—There was enough food for everyone!
Piece 7—The apostles gathered up twelve baskets of leftovers!
