“Heaven is a wonderful place!” We sing that song — and lots of others — with our students so they will learn about heaven and will want to go there! This visual teaches what makes heaven such a wonderful place. Colorful images illustrate the “things” that will—and won’t—be in heaven. By putting the “will be” things in the heaven pocket and setting the “won’t be” things aside, children come to see the wonderful place heaven will be!
“Will be” pieces: God, Jesus, songs, smile (happiness), tree of life, faithful members of the church family
“Won’t be” pieces: clock, thermometers (sickness), socks (cold feet), bad words, puppies, crying, stethoscope/meds, sunset, gossip, fighting, ball games, bad attitudes, food like we have today
