The nation of Judah had only a few good kings. Jehoshaphat was one; in fact the Bible says that "he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord” (2 Chron. 20:30).
This visual signifies the "great job” he did as king by putting images of his life’s story on blue ribbons. Simply put each ribbon on the wall or magnetic board as you recount the events of his life.
Although he was a great king, he was not perfect. His bad choice to ally himself with Ahab is noted on a black ribbon instead of blue.

Ribbon 2— Images of idols with an X indicating that he took them out of Judah
Ribbon 3—He even took down the worship places where idols were worshipped
Ribbon 4—God says Jehoshaphat walked in the ways of David—high praise for a king!
Ribbon 5—Jehoshaphat strengthened Judah by building castles and great city walls
Ribbon 6 (black)—He allied himself with evil Ahab through marriage and joint military battles
Ribbon 7— Jehoshaphat sent Levites and priests thru all Judah to remind people of God’s law
Ribbon 8—When Jehoshaphat was faced with a great army against him, his go-to plan was prayer (2 Chron. 20)
