At the end of the forty years of wilderness wanderings, Joshua led the people into the land of Canaan. God told Israel that the land was theirs for the taking. So Israel crossed Jordan and began several years of battles to conquer the land. This visual includes an outline map of Canaan and 12 brightly colored pieces representing the tribal inheritances. Use the map to teach where each tribe settled or use one map per team to review. Students/teams can answer questions about the conquest to earn the pieces to complete their maps and be the first to conquer Canaan!
